From Tea to Tech: A Toronto Collaboration Inside Antler Canada

Toronto founders Tom Zaragoza and Brittany Jiao are building what they describe as the “Zapier for Growth” — a new automation platform emerging from Antler Canada’s incubator program. The project aims to unify the fragmented world of marketing and growth operations, allowing teams to connect analytics, community platforms, and content systems through a single workflow layer.

Their collaboration reflects the diversity of Toronto’s startup ecosystem.
Tom, a University of Toronto graduate and product engineer, previously built CrawlConsole — a data and AI infrastructure tool that helps businesses track how large language models crawl, cite, and attribute traffic. Brittany, a communications strategist and founder of OhTea.co, is known for turning lifestyle storytelling into digital traction, blending design and PR into a cohesive brand presence.

“We Wanted to Automate Growth Itself”

There are countless tools for managing operations or design,” said Zaragoza. “But no one has built a true automation layer for growth — connecting Reddit marketing, PR outreach, YouTube analytics, and SEO into one orchestration flow.

This insight became the foundation of their Antler venture: a no-code growth automation platform that integrates campaign execution and measurement across multiple channels. The vision is to allow growth teams to focus on strategy, not spreadsheets.

The Power of Partnership

The partnership between Tom and Brittany represents the convergence of two disciplines rarely combined: engineering precision and narrative intelligence. Tom’s background in system architecture gives the product a robust technical foundation, while Brittany’s expertise in storytelling and public relations ensures the technology resonates with audiences beyond the data.

Our collaboration is about connecting logic and empathy,” said Jiao. “Tom understands how systems scale; I focus on how people relate to brands. The product sits exactly at that intersection.

Their complementary strengths have helped shape the product’s unique positioning — not just as a tool, but as a method for rethinking how growth work is done.

Inside Antler: Guided by a “Sherpa”

Brittany credits much of their early clarity to Daphne McLarty, Antler’s team Sherpa, who guided them through early ideation. Jiao said:

I’ve received incredible support from Daphne, she asked sharp questions, challenged our assumptions, and helped us brainstorm the framework for what this product could become.

McLarty’s mentorship helped the team align their technical and narrative approaches, ensuring the platform’s value proposition remains tangible and results-driven.

What Comes Next

The founders are now testing integrations across leading growth tools — from Reddit and Product Hunt to Notion and HubSpot — enabling automated workflows such as:

Trigger Action
A Reddit post surpasses 100 upvotes Automatically generate a PR summary and SEO report
New product launch on Product Hunt Schedule a sequence of promotional posts across owned channels
Keyword ranking improves Publish backlink stories to partner publications

According to Zaragoza, the product aims to bridge “data-to-decision latency” — the gap between analytics and actionable execution — a problem many growth teams face as automation tools remain siloed.

A Reflection of Toronto’s Startup Maturity

Antler’s mentorship-driven model continues to spotlight how cross-disciplinary founders are shaping the next wave of automation and AI tooling.
For Tom and Brittany, this journey is not only about building software — it’s about redefining how modern growth teams operate.

It’s not just about automating tasks, it’s about helping brands tell their stories at scale — and letting technology handle the rest.
